Kyle's Party
We left the farm at 8:30 AM and I drove to Brownsville to watch Julie
play basketball, but when we went in the gym, Julie ran over and told us
her game was changed to Monday. We watched some of the game that was
going on as we talked with Pauline and Brent. Then we headed to the
grade school to watch Kyle's game. Before the game I took a picture of
Kyle and the kids on the Tigers.
Coach
Terry gave them some last minute instructions before the game and had
them run some passing drills at halftime.
After
the game we went to P&B's house and had lunch, then drove to Glasgow for
a Birthday Swim Party for Kyle. The kids that came to the party were
able to play while Pauline setup the cupcakes, ice cream and drinks.
Kyle
turned 6 years old on February 2nd, 2016. The cake was individual
cupcakes iced and set in the pan to make the number 6. The kids ate
quickly and Kyle opened the gifts quickly, then everyone went into the
pool..
The
five fingers might be the number of teeth that Kyle has lost recently?
Pauline
and Vanessa chatted while swimming and I caught several of the kids on
the edge of the pool.
Brent
gave Stacy an "Attitude Adjustment" like John Cena does on the WWE
shows. He also threw every kid in the water several times.
Everyone
seemed to have a great time, some tired out and left a little early, but
over an hour of pool time should wear them down.

Daisy Spayed
Our farm dog, Daisy, is resting comfortably after spending the night at
the Dyer Animal Clinic. The vet spayed her Friday morning and Stacey and
I picked Daisy up at 8:30 AM today. She was really thirsty and barfed
everything up that she drank within 30 minutes of coming home. Not much
of an appetite yet, but head is up and getting around better. This
action on our part was necessitated by a local male dog that we couldn't
keep away from Daisy. Damian was a neighbor's husky/sheperd mix that
kept coming around regardless of what I did to stop him. I started by
yelling, then advanced to firing a gun loaded with bird shot over his
head. I never could get close enough to sting him with the bird shot.
Finally, I asked our neighbors and they pointed out which neighbor owned
Damian. I went down and talked to them and told them what had been
happening. I told them I had not shot directly at the dog because I
didn't want to kill him, but I did not want our dog having pups. To my
surprise, they came down, rang the door bell and told me they were there
to get Damian. I was putting on my shoes when one of them came to the
door and said they had the dog in the car and would take him home and
pen him up. I told them thanks and that I really appreciated their
efforts. No problems that night... that I knew about. The next morning
the neighbors were back, ringing the doorbell again. This time they said
Damian was in Daisy's pen. I put my shoes on and went outside, sure
enough, he was inside the pen with Daisy. We opened the stall door and
out he came, went into the car and the neighbors said they had him in a
pen and he climbed out, so this time they would tie him up too. I told
them that I had made an appointment to have Daisy spayed and that should
be the end of it. I told them that I appreciated their attempts to keep
him home and we all parted under good terms.
